Lol, terrible take.

Most of the “money” we are sending over there isn’t money, it’s weapons or helmets or tanks or whatever. It’s the monetary value of assigned to those things. And this is done via the lend lease act meaning UKRAINE PAYS US BACK. AND it’s also equipment we were already getting rid of or upgraded out of or were about to sink tons of money upgrading.

Your literally using the republican argument against healthcare for all here. “In ten years it costs soooo much money, we shouldn’t do this”. Yet Healthcare for all is cheaper year over year than the current system. It’s the same thing here. Updating what we were going to keep is goin g to cost more money, or give supplies to someone who needs it and is fighting for a GOOD CAUSE.

Shit, the most talked about modern thing we’ve given to UA is HIMARS. HIMARS is 90s tech.

Fuck if your going on about saving our money, why not realized that the amount of supplies we’ve given to UA dwarfs what we spend on our military to be ready to defeat Russia. Aka, UA is doing what we’ve given money too the military for all these years at a much cheaper amount.

Lastly, it’s morally right to support the nation that is running a DEFENSIVE war of its nation and its peoples. I don’t wanna be on the side that enables things like Bucha. Or Mariupol.

Add to this the value to scrap the old equipment is more than refurbishment and shipping to Ukraine. One of the few times military aide is beneficial to both parties.

I sent them the tanks right? So I’m a hero. I’ll be sending a bill later though.
